Pride Kintsugi Greeting Cards for Local Queer Orgs

Pride Kintsugi Greeting Cards for Local Queer Orgs

Our queer communities has always found ways to honor themselves despite the vagaries and mores of various cultures and political winds. When considering all that my queer family and friends have managed to embrace their authenticity, I found inspiration in the Japanese concept of kintsugi. May whatever hardships the small-minded among us decide to bring upon this community be transformed into precious metals to hold firm to themselves even more.

A portion of the proceeds from the Pride Kintsugi cards will go toward a queer organization for as long as I can manage it, with a strong preference for Tucson and southern Arizona orgs.

The current recipient is Building Out Safer Spaces (BOSS), a Tucson queer-owned and -facilitated workshop. They create a skill-building community that is anti-racist, feminist and safer for queer folx and BIPOC.

I'll be updating this space with the amount raised as sales of these cards progress. Any future organization that is the recipient of this donation program will be listed here as well.
